Our competitive teams have been working hard and improving each week. We are very proud of the growth and development of all our wrestlers. Most importantly, our team is becoming a family - built on a culture of sacrifice, love, and respect.
Kaizen is a Japanese philosophy and approach for continuous, incremental improvements over time. Under this philosophy, everyone on a team displays cooperation and commitment to making small, ongoing, positive changes towards their goals.
Kaizen Wrestling Club is a fun and casual option for continued wrestling training. This program is designed for athletes that enjoy the process of learning and growing their wrestling skills as martial artists. KWC is not intended for competitive training.
Wrestling With Character’s Coaching Academy provides the foundation for all of our programs.
Our coaching program is designed to thrive based on the principles of collaboration, trust,
and communication. This framework helps us convey a consistent philosophy for all Wrestling
With Character programs and teams.
5 Years of Giving Coach Mike Buell has been volunteering his time to help our kids since the very first practice in December 2015. In that time, Coach Buell has helped and touched the lives of hundreds of kids. With the recent increase in programs and practices, Coach Buell has graciously taken on an even bigger practice load this winter to help our program be the best that it can be. In addition, Coach Buell serves on our Board of Directors. Needless to say, his contributions to our organization are invaluable.
Above and Beyond
Coach Aaron Ross perfectly models all of the traits that we strive to see from our coaches. Coach Ross has been there to support our teams and kids too many times to count - doing everything from running practices to volunteering and staying late at tournaments by himself to make sure our wrestlers had a coach. A high-level athlete himself, Coach Ross has a natural ability to effectively communicate the technique and concepts that we are teaching in a way that kids can understand. We feel very lucky to have such a positive leader and role model for our kids!
